Objective. To present a conceptual framework for public actions against inequalities in the Campo de Públicas.
Theoretical framework. The intersectionality concept performs as an axis for the approach, through which we understand that the relations that produce inequalities are intertwined and, therefore, require integrated actions against them.
Methodology. the essay was built based on 43 entries that integrate the Glossary of Inequalities of the Observatory of Inequalities of UFRN. This publication was produced in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner, bringing together entries concerning inequalities and public actions against them. The Glossary is available for public access (audiovisual and textual formats).
Results. To reflect on inequalities, understood as complex public problems. Public actions to face inequalities (state and non-state) are discussed from the integrality and innovation perspectives, highlighting the strategies of cross-cutting and intersecting.
Originality. Despite contemporary advances, the production of systemic knowledge that subsidizes the introduction and expansion of the discussion on inequalities in the theories and practices of the Campo de Públicas is still undeveloped. Theoretical reflections upon the subjective of inequalities and public actions against them are required to incorporate new concepts and approaches about inequalities in the mentioned Campo.
Theoretical contribution. To offer a conceptual framework for theories and practices regarding inequalities, aiming to subsidize teaching, researching, and extension activities in the Campo de Públicas.
