Our objective in this article, supported in the main indicators of the global economy and national levels, to promote an analysis of the effects of the global crisis and the prospects for economic growth in Brazil during 2012 and 2013. The theoretical framework is supported Keynesian theories, neo and public finances. This is an article bibliographic, descriptive and qualitative, which discussions are based on projections contained in the reports of the major multilateral and national institutions in Brazil, especially in the most important economic variables such as growth of the world economy, the behavior of employment and inflation. The results of the discussions from the analyzes of the documents cited, show that the global economic crisis continues impacting alarmingly in most countries, especially in so-called Zeus (members of the Eurozone and the United States), and that performance Brazilian economy is expected to grow at a slower pace in the coming years. These findings allow us to conclude that it is necessary to define a consistent diagnosis for Brazil, allowing a structural change in the growth potential of the economy, in particular, more adequately preparing its macroeconomic and microeconomic environment.
