Democratic Education as a Keystone for Social and Politic Participation: challenges and opportunities

The purpose of this essay is to relate concepts and information to allow different perception on the issue of social and political participation of citizens in the public sphere, in order to recover the notion of democratic citizenship as a method of work in schools. This is a theoretical exploratory study that tries to create moorings among the subjects addicted to politics and education management and to participation, which has as its hypothesis the democratization of learning pathways. The methodology involves the analysis and interpretation of secondary data, theoretical frameworks and relevant practices, in the sense of pointing ways to improve participation that underlie the democratization of education.
