Do the City Councilors do their Accountability in Electronic Portals? A Comparative Study between the Municipalities in the States of Bahia and Santa Catarina

The goal of this article is to compare the accountability in electronic portals of the municipalities in the states of Bahia and Santa Catarina. Twenty five city councils’ portals in Bahia and 27 city councils’ portals in Santa Catarina were considered. Although the city councils’ portals in Santa Catarina are more active compared to the city councils’ portals in Bahia and are moving towards compliance with the legislation, the set of portals of both States did not disclose an effective accountability through the electronic portals.
