Abstract

Abstract: The article discusses the creation of an agenda for policies to control the lethality of policing in the State of São Paulo from 1983 to 2012. Thetheoretical framework used to underpin the study was the Multiple Streams Model developed by John Kingdon (2003). It aims to understand why public safetypolicies focusing on controlling police lethality seem to have lost their central position in the political agenda of the latest decade.
