Abstract

The daylighting performance in indoor environments is influenced by several elements, such as the built environment, verticalization, building geometry, and aspects of each location must also be taken into account, such as climate, relief, location, reflectance of internal surfaces, among others. Focusing on the hot-humid climate in the Amazon region, Belém located in the state of Pará, the research aimed to study the behavior of daylight, through a study with computer simulation for two forms of light capture by the toplighting, in order to investigate the advantages and disadvantages between them, for the hot and humid climate. For computational simulation, TropLux software was used. The research also seeks to study the behavior of light, using transparent elements and semi-transparent photovoltaic modules to investigate the behavior of these different closing devices in architecture.
