LEVANTAMENTO ETNOBOTANICO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS NO MUNICÍPIO DE CAMPO NOVO DO PARECIS - MT.

The present study aimed to analyze the use of medicinal plants in the urban area of Campo Novo do Parecis – MT. 100 informants between 20 and 90 years old were interviewed, recording information from 145 medicinal plants about use, part used, therapeutic indication and forms of preparation. Were identified 66 botanical families, and the most representative in number of species were Lamiaceae (9%), Fabaceae (7%), Asteraceae (7%), Cucurbitaceae (3%), Myrtaceae (3%) and Poaceae (4%). The lemon balm, chamomile and mint plants were the most cited species and 52% of respondents grow the plants in their own backyards. In the preparation of home remedies it was found that all parts of the plants are used, with the predominance of leaves (37%. Various forms of preparation were mentioned, with tea being the most indicated. The population of Campo Novo do Parecis has extensive popular knowledge about medicinal plants, which is relevant for the control of diseases, in addition to opening perspectives for conducting more in depth ethnopharmacological studies
