Abstract

The study reports internal and external noise levels emitted by three models of “Feller-Bunchers”. The machines operating in forest crop areas belonging to a forest company, located in the district of Santa Bárbara, Minas Gerais – Brazil were analyzed. The noise levels inside the cabin were lower than the limit of 85 dB (A) for eight hours daily exposure, established for NR-15, for all crop operations. However, the noise level outside of the cabin (as to the distancing radius) was above the set limit.
