Characteristics Of National And International Scientific Production About Public Budget, Comptroller and Public Participatory Budgeting In First Decade of the XXI Century

The study aimed to describe the characteristics of articles published in national and international journals on topics public budget, participatory budgeting and controlling public. For this we used descriptive research, conducted through a literature review and quantitative approach. We found 29 articles on the subjects in 99 periodicals consulted. It was observed that all the great productions were performed by an author, and of these, 53% were men and 47% women. The southern region of Brazil had the highest authorship (38%). Internationally, it was found that three authors were the United States, three in Taiwan, one from Nigeria and one from Germany. It was also the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais has the largest number of compulsory subjects on the public area. We conclude that public accounting is lacking in thematic publications under study and also subjects that the public area are little explored in the curricula of universities.
