This article aims to present an outline of the family's daily life in Tocantins, based on the study of the social space of family farming in a municipality. Data collection was based on questionnaires with 41 families. The theoretical basis is bourdieusian and chayanovian. The results analyzed from the Multiple Correspondence Analysis pointed to the existence of two habitus that distinguish and position families in the social space of family farming and their distinctions are perceived from the access to education, insertion of children in the work space and the positioning of women in family production units.
